Captain Ammad Butt’s revelation

After returning to the country, team captain Ammad Butt exposed the entire matter while talking to the media. He told that the players had to face many problems during the tour. After his statement, the stir in the sports circles of Pakistan intensified. Ammad Butt raised questions on the functioning of the team management and Hockey Association officials. Demanding transparency and accountability, he said that even basic facilities are not being provided properly to the players.

Two-year ban and resignation of the chairman

Following the captain’s allegations, Pakistan Hockey Federation President Tariq Bugti took a tough stance and banned Ammad Butt for two years. However, shortly after this decision, Bugatti also resigned from his post.

In his resignation letter, he requested the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Army Chief to conduct an impartial investigation into the incidents that took place during his visit to Australia. This development has raised more questions on the working style of the federation.
