Shivratri fair ends, but video of mismanagement goes viral
Ku with Ajit Singh (Bureau). Rita’s report
Obra/Sonbhadra –
The fair of Baba Bhuteshwar Darbar organized on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri may have been over, but the issue of filth spread in the temple premises and caves on the day of the event is now gaining momentum. The video of the incident is becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which a pile of garbage can be clearly seen around the statue of Mata seated in the Hanswahini cave. As soon as the video surfaced, there has been anger among the people and devotees are strongly condemning this negligence.
According to eyewitnesses, the situation was so bad on the day of the fair that many devotees were seen hesitant in going inside the cave and returned after offering prayers on the stairs of the temple. People say that despite such a big religious event, the lack of cleanliness system shows the joint failure of the administration, Nagar Panchayat and temple committee.
Local citizens alleged that the cleaning was not done in time and when those responsible were questioned, they made excuses instead of giving clear answers. Now after the video went viral, people’s anger is coming out openly and the demand for action has intensified.
Public’s questions still persist-
– Why was the filth spread on the day of the fair itself?
– Where were the responsible officers and committee members?
– Will there be any action after the viral video or will the matter be suppressed?
The devotees have demanded from the administration that the entire incident should be investigated and strict action should be taken against the culprits, so that the dignity of religious events and the faith of the devotees can be protected in future.
The fair has ended, but the viral video has brought the truth of the arrangements in front of everyone.
