Lucknow. The case of Galgotias University echoed in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly on Thursday amid allegations that a Chinese robot was allegedly selling its product during the AI Impact Summit held in New Delhi. Samajwadi Party (SP) members raised the demand for investigation into this case and strict action if found guilty.
SP MLAs Engineer Sachin Yadav and Pankaj Malik said in the House that how the product concerned was presented in the summit without adequate investigation. He said that this matter is not limited to just one university, but is also a serious matter related to educational transparency and the scientific reputation of the country.
Chairman’s preliminary objection
speaker of the assembly Satish Mahana Initially, he said that the related summit is not being organized in Uttar Pradesh nor has it been organized by the state government, hence it cannot be discussed directly in the House. However, on the request of SP members, later the Speaker allowed them to read his notice to draw the attention of the government.

Sachin Yadav said that since the university is operated in Uttar Pradesh, its accountability falls under the purview of the state government. He demanded the government to keep a clear position on the entire matter.
SP members also said that if the allegations are found true, then strict action should be taken as per the rules, so that the credibility of the state’s education system and the international image of the country are not affected.

Assembly Speaker Manju Siwach has forwarded this notice of SP members for the attention of the government. Now all eyes are on the government’s reaction and further action in this matter.
