What was the last conversation on phone between Ajit Pawar and Praful Patel?
Former Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar died in a plane crash. After his demise, there is continuous political turmoil in the state regarding the death. After his death, discussions are intensifying regarding the phone conversation of NCP leader Praful Patel. Once again Praful Patel has reacted.
Speaking to the media in Bhandara, Maharashtra, Praful Patel said that people may not know this, that is why I am clarifying again and again that some people have spread false propaganda about the last phone call between Ajit Dada and me. I called him from Delhi from my mobile. I didn’t even know in which city Ajit Dada was at that time.
Prafull Patel further said that my only aim was to draw the attention of the farmers of East Vidarbha to the fact that the payment for government paddy purchase is pending for a long time. Many days had passed, so I requested him to release the dues of the farmers as soon as possible.
I don’t know what action he took after this. Some people are saying that this call was regarding the file of Rice Mill, but this is completely wrong. It was my responsibility and duty as a public representative to raise the issue of farmers and call the Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister of the state. That’s what I did.
It is very unfortunate to spread such allegations and misunderstandings that there was any delay or any other issue because of my phone. This accident is a big loss for Maharashtra and the country. This is a deep shock. But the call I made was for the work of common people, farmers. It is extremely regrettable to spread false propaganda on this matter.
He further said that I am not aware of anything else, so I will not comment on it. Whatever the truth is, it should come out. The investigation should be complete and impartial. Maharashtra and the country have the right to know what really happened.
Prafull Patel said that the family has not only suffered a loss, but Maharashtra and the country have also suffered a great loss due to Ajit Dada’s demise. Therefore the whole truth must come out. We will continue to follow up on this matter with the government and relevant agencies.
He further said that some people are spreading unnecessary propaganda. On the same day the accident occurred, the Union Civil Aviation Minister had reached Baramati and had given instructions for Aircraft Accident Investigation. A few days later, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra also announced a CID investigation. Both the agencies were working.
He said that despite this we felt that it was possible that some external or big agency might have a role in this, or some other state or foreign element might be involved. That’s why we have demanded a CBI inquiry.
Regarding the election of NCP Ajit Pawar as the national president, he said that on February 26, we will formally declare Sunetra Pawar as the national president. After this, further consideration will be given to appointments and selections related to Rajya Sabha.
