Pakistani cricketer Shadab Khan gets into trouble for commenting on former greats! PCB gave warning

Shadab Khan: In the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, Pakistan has entered the Super-8 by defeating Namibia in its last group league match. After the match, the star all-rounder had given a controversial statement regarding the former greats in the press conference. Expressing displeasure over his statement, PCB has called it inappropriate and has warned him.

What did Shadab Khan say?

Actually, after facing defeat by 61 runs against India, Pakistani team is facing severe criticism. His former stalwarts are constantly raising questions on the performance of the team players. Now after registering victory against Namibia, Shadab Khan has responded to these criticisms. He said that what we did, even our former veterans could not do. He also did not defeat India in the World Cup during his time. It was we who defeated India in the 2021 World Cup.

PCB warned

Now PCB has expressed displeasure over this statement of Shadab Khan. The board has warned Shadab Khan through team manager Naveed Cheema. Cheema spoke to Shadab on phone and told him that he had crossed all limits in the press conference. The board says that players should avoid making such statements which may affect the image of former veterans. PCB has advised the players to exercise restraint while talking to the media and limit their statements to match performance only. The board has also made it clear that if any player crosses the limits in future, strict action will be taken against him.
