Tata Punch EV Facelift: Tata Motors is all set to launch the new Tata Punch EV facelift in India today, 20th February 2026. According to reports, this facelift will include minor styling changes, new features and possibly a larger battery. Coming alongside the recently updated ICE-powered Punch, this update aims to increase its competitiveness in the entry-level EV segment while keeping the electric version visually consistent with the Punch.

speed
The new Tata Punch EV offers a maximum power of 95 kW and wheel torque of over 2000 Nm. Tata claims that it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in less than 9 seconds.

drive mode
This EV has three drive modes: City, Eco and Sport, as well as four levels of regenerative braking that can be adjusted using paddle shifters.

fast charging
The vehicle supports fast charging from 20 to 80 percent in just 26 minutes, with a maximum charging rate of 1.5C at 65 kW. There are multiple charging options available, including CCS2 DC fast charger, 7.2 kW wallbox charger, and 3.3 kW home charger. Additionally, it also comes with a new home charger which is equipped with a charging status indicator. The new Tata Punch.EV now comes with lifetime battery warranty without any kilometer limit.

design
Minor but noticeable changes have been made to the design. At the front, the Punch EV gets a new, clean bumper, larger air dam and large headlight clusters with black surrounds. The connected LED DRLs have been removed, but the slim DRL and the front charging flap remain intact. A new textured imitation silver skid plate gives it a fresh look.

price and competitors
It is likely to be priced between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom), which is slightly more than the current model. It will mainly compete with the Citroen eC3. It can also be seen as an alternative to MG Windsor EV, Mahindra XUV 3XO EV and its bigger brother Tata Nexon EV.
