Haryana: Big action by ACB in Haryana, salesman arrested for taking bribe of Rs 10 thousand

Haryana News: As part of the ongoing campaign against corruption in Haryana, the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has taken major action in Sonipat. The team arrested a salesman of a cooperative society red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 10,000. The accused is accused of demanding Rs 15,000 in exchange for increasing the loan limit of a member, in which the deal was finalized for Rs 10,000.

Bribe demanded in the name of increasing loan limit

The matter pertains to a cooperative society located in village Bhainswal Kalan of Gohana. Salesman Subhash working here had demanded ₹ 15 thousand from Kuldeep, resident of village Katwal, in exchange for increasing the limit of his MCL (Maximum Credit Limit) card.

The existing loan limit of complainant Kuldeep was ₹ 60 thousand, which he wanted to increase to about ₹ 1.5 lakh. It is alleged that bribe was demanded in the name of taking this process forward.

ACB laid a trap and caught him

After receiving the complaint, the ACB team planned and laid a trap. As soon as the accused took the bribe of ₹10 thousand, the team arrested him red-handed from the society office.

Statement of DSP Vipin Kadian

ACB DSP Vipin Kadian said that action has been taken on the basis of the complaint. A case has been registered against accused Subhash under the Anti-Corruption Act. Further legal action will be taken by presenting him in the court.
