Trump Made Shahbaz Sharif Stand In A Board Of Peace Meeting A Video Of Which Went Viral
While the presence of Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif at the inaugural meeting of the ‘Board of Peace’ held in America was considered a high-level diplomatic occasion, some video clips surfaced during the program have sparked a debate on social media. The meeting was hosted by US President Donald Trump, which was attended by leaders of about 40 countries. The aim of the conference was to give the message of global stability and peace, but some moments that happened during the program went viral, due to which Pakistan has once again been embarrassed on online platforms.
In a video clip during the event, Trump was seen pointing towards Sharif and asking him to stand up. Immediately after this, Sharif is seen getting up from his seat. Many users on social media termed his gesture as uncomfortable and termed the moment as shameful. The video also showed that during his address, Trump described Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as his very good friend. After this, the scene of Sharif standing down further fueled the online discussions.

The clip quickly went viral and many users claimed that Sharif was made to stand like a child in the programme. At the same time, Pakistan insists on getting respect like India on global forums, whereas Pakistan and its leaders feel embarrassed.
There was intense discussion on social media even in the official photo-session organized after the meeting. Trump and US Vice President JD Vance along with other leaders were present in the picture. Some social media posts claimed that Sharif was made to stand on the sidelines instead of being in the center of the group, leaving him completely alone.
During the meeting, Sharif described Trump as a ‘man of peace’ and “savior of South Asia”. He praised Trump’s timely and effective intervention during the earlier tensions between India and Pakistan, saying that it helped in avoiding loss of life and property on a large scale. After his statement, the discussion about Trump’s old claim also started again, in which he had claimed to mediate during the military standoff between India and Pakistan.
