The match amassed a staggering 163 million digital views, marking the most-watched ICC T20 game ever, overtaking the 2024 final between India and South Africa, as confirmed in the release.

The electrifying performance from India resulted in an outstanding 56% increase in digital reach over the India-Pakistan clash from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.

The match set a new record for mobile viewership, achieving the highest reach during the league phase of any ICC T20 World Cup, surpassing the India-Pakistan face-off at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 by 1.2 times. Known as the Greatest Rivalry in cricket, the India-Pakistan game captivated fans on JioHotstar. On CTV, the viewership was 2.4 times higher than the 2024 edition’s India-Pakistan clash.

The match racked up an extraordinary 20 billion minutes of total watch time across all platforms, highlighting the remarkable level of fan engagement. This resulted in a 42% boost in consumption compared to the previous edition’s matchup, fueled by India’s dominant performance, which extended their head-to-head record over Pakistan in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup to 8-1.

The highly anticipated match performed brilliantly on linear TV as well, registering a 71% growth in TVR, thus becoming the highest-rated India-Pakistan T20 encounter since 2021. This landmark engagement demonstrated the lasting dominance of linear TV in offering a wide-reaching.

Due to the intense competition from associate nations and their impressive performances, the digital reach of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 at the close of the group stage is already set to exceed the total digital reach of the last edition.
