Bumper restoration in Bihar! 1076 new recruitments and budget of Rs 1041 crore for minorities- Jama Khan

Bihar News: In Bihar, the government is taking big steps for the welfare of the minority community and to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the last person. One Block Welfare Officer will be deployed in every block. This year, the appointment of officials in all the blocks will be completed. This information was given by Minority Welfare Minister Jama Khan.

Requisition sent to BPSC and BSSC

Minister Jama Khan said that the process of new reinstatement has been started on a total of 1076 posts in the department. For this, the requisition has been sent to Bihar Public Service Commission and Bihar Staff Selection Commission. These posts include 6 posts of District Minority Welfare Officer, 487 posts of Block Minority Welfare Officer, 546 posts of Lower Class Clerk and 37 posts of Hostel Manager.

Construction of minority residential schools

Bihar’s Minority Welfare Minister Jama Khan said that 22 minority residential schools from classes 9 to 12 are being built in different districts. Presently two schools are running in Darbhanga and Kishanganj. By April, schools will also start in Katihar, Jamui, Kaimur, Nalanda and Muzaffarpur. After this a total of 7 schools will become operational. He said that after Telangana, Bihar is the only state where minority residential welfare schools are being built. The government plans to open such schools in every district.

Smart class and technical course in Madrasa

Smart classes have been started in 75 madrassas of the state. Soon this facility will be provided in all madrassas. Apart from this, a total of 10 centers are being opened in 9 aided madrassas and Maulana Mazharul Haq Arabic and Persian University to connect the students with employment. 5 technical courses are running here.

25 thousand rupees assistance to divorced women

The Minority Welfare Minister said that the government is providing financial assistance of Rs 25,000 to divorced women as assistance. Till now more than 9 thousand cemeteries have been cordoned off. He said that Waqf Board land in the state is being identified and encroachment will be removed.

Continuous increase in budget

Secretary of the department Mohd. Sohail told that in the year 2005-06, the budget of the department was Rs 3 crore 53 lakh. Which increased to Rs 728 crore in 2024-25. 86 percent of the amount has been spent in this. The budget has increased to Rs 1041 crore in the financial year 2025-26. So far 77 percent of the amount has been spent. It is expected that the entire amount will be spent by the end of the financial year.
