‘Mohammed’ Deepak will take out a march to unite people, what is the plan?
Kotdwar’s gym owner Deepak Kumar, who has become famous as ‘Mohammed’ Deepak, and his friend Vijay Rawat are thinking of taking a big step against the increasing hatred in the country. They are planning to launch a nationwide march named ‘Unite Humanity March’. The purpose of this yatra is to spread the message of unity, love and humanity among the people.
An incident took place in Pauri Garhwal district of Kotdwar on Republic Day in January. There some people started harassing a 70 year old Muslim shopkeeper. The name of his shop was ‘Baba School Dress and Matching Centre’. Some Bajrang Dal workers objected to the name of his shop. He said that the word ‘Baba’ should be used only for the local deity Baba Siddhabali (associated with Hanuman ji). He demanded the shopkeeper to change the name of his shop.

The video went viral
At the same time, Deepak Kumar standing nearby interrupted him. He was standing outside his shop. When he was asked his name, Deepak said, ‘My name is Mohammad Deepak.’ This video of his also became quite viral. After this people started calling him ‘Mohammed Deepak’.
After this incident, some people of Bajrang Dal came to protest outside Deepak’s gym on 31 January. He issued threats and asked to teach them a lesson. Deepak also received threats online.
What is happening now?
On Friday, Deepak and Vijay shared a video on social media. Deepak said that he is getting a lot of love and support from people. For this reason they are thinking of starting ‘Insaniyat Jodo Yatra’. This journey will go across the country and give the message of humanity, love and unity against hatred.

In the video, Vijay Rawat also said that hatred is increasing in the country, at such a time this yatra will spread love and compassion. He thanked the people a lot. Deepak has sought opinion from people whether they should undertake this journey or not. He wants everyone to come together and talk about this idea.
