In UP, honorarium of Rs 18 thousand to Shikshamitras and Rs 17 thousand to instructors, decision will be implemented from April.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made a big announcement for Shikshamitras and instructors of the state. The government has decided to increase the honorarium of Shikshamitras from Rs 10 thousand to Rs 18 thousand per month and that of instructors to Rs 17 thousand per month. This increased honorarium will be implemented from the new financial year 2026-27, i.e. from the month of April.

The Chief Minister made this announcement during the budget discussion in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly. He said that the government is continuously working to strengthen the education system and provide better facilities to the education workers.

Will get increased honorarium from April

The Chief Minister said that in the past, Shikshamitras and instructors used to get very less honorarium. During the time of SP government, this amount was around Rs 3 thousand, which was increased to Rs 10 thousand. Now the government has decided to increase it further to Rs 18,000 per month for Shikshamitras and Rs 17,000 per month for instructors.
He clarified that this increased amount will be given from April itself.

Big budget provision for education sector

The government has also made budget provision for many schemes in the education sector.

Apart from this, 75 percent of the expenditure for infrastructure development in secondary education will be borne by the government.

Cashless treatment to teachers up to Rs 5 lakh

The Chief Minister said that to provide better health facilities to the teachers, cashless medical facility up to Rs 5 lakh is also being provided. This will provide financial relief to teachers and education workers for treatment.

Chief Minister also spoke on the economy of the state

The Chief Minister said that the government has stopped corruption and financial irregularities, which has strengthened the economy of the state.
He said that in the year 2016-17, the credit-deposit ratio of the state was around 43-44 percent, which has now increased to 61-62 percent. This has increased investment and employment opportunities in the state.

The government claims that these decisions will strengthen the education system and improve the financial condition of Shikshamitras and instructors.
