Online Process to Deactivate Aadhaar (Online Process) UIDAI has added a new feature on the portal named ‘Reporting of Death of a Family Member’. Go to myAadhaar portal: First of all go to the official website of UIDAI myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in. Login: Any member of the family (like husband/wife, child or legal heir) login through your own Aadhaar number and OTP. Select the option: Click on ‘Report Death of a Family Member’ option present on the dashboard. Death Certificate: Upload the scanned copy (PDF/JPEG) of the ‘Death Certificate’ issued by the Municipal Corporation or Registrar and the death registration number. Verified Relation Do: The person making the report must state his/her relationship with the deceased and confirm his/her identity. Submission: After verifying the information, press the ‘Submit’ button. After verification, the Aadhaar number will be marked as “Deactivated due to death” in the system within 90 days. Offline Mode: If you are not comfortable with the online process, then: Visit your nearest Aadhaar Seva Center (ASK). Carry the original copy of the Aadhaar card of the deceased and photocopy of the death certificate. Fill the prescribed form at the center and submit it along with the documents.
