The accused who threatened 25 Congress MPs including Rahul Gandhi is in custody from Kota.
New Delhi/Kota. congress leader Rahul Gandhi And after a video allegedly threatening 25 Congress MPs went viral on social media, Rajasthan Police took immediate action and detained the accused from Kota.
According to the police, in the video the person calling himself Raj Singh had made objectionable and threatening statements citing a recent incident related to the Lok Sabha. According to the report of news agency PTI, the accused had expressed his displeasure over the incidents that took place during the first phase of the budget session of Parliament.
Serious warning given in video
In the purported video, the accused demanded strict action against the MPs concerned and warned of serious consequences if such an incident happens again. In the video, objectionable statements have also been made directly by taking the name of Rahul Gandhi.

After the video surfaced, Kota police took the accused into custody. Kota SP Tejaswini Gautam told PTI that the man has been kept for questioning at Borkheda police station and investigation into the case is underway. Police are investigating the authenticity, background and other possible aspects of the video.
Political parties expressed non-affiliation
It is said that pictures of the Prime Minister and the Lok Sabha Speaker are visible in the background of the video. Although, Bharatiya Janata Party And Karni Sena Both have denied any connection with the accused.BJP Kota City President Rakesh Jain Clarified that the person seen in the video is not associated with the party. The police administration has appealed to the citizens to avoid sharing unconfirmed and misleading content and cooperate in maintaining law and order.
