New Delhi Marathon 2026: Metro trains will run from 3:30 am on February 22, know the passengers of which routes will get the benefit.
In view of ‘New Delhi Marathon 2026’, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has decided to start special services early on some metro lines on 22 February. DMRC, in an advisory issued on its official After 6 am, trains will run as per normal time table. DMRC has said that this step has been taken for the convenience of the athletes and spectators participating in the marathon, so that they can reach the venue on time.
yellow line: Samaypur Badli towards Millennium City Centre, Gurugram.
blue line: From Dwarka Sector 21 towards Noida Electronic City and Vaishali.
violet line: From Kashmiri Gate towards Raja Nahar Singh Line.
Other lines: Service on all other metro lines will remain as per normal Sunday timetable.
‘New Delhi Marathon 2026’ is being organized this Sunday (22 February). Well-known runners from across the country will participate in this marathon and it is also considered as a national championship. Those who are willing to run with the best runners of the country can also participate in this marathon. It is known that DMRC had earlier started metro service on some lines at 3 am on Republic Day also. These trains were available at an interval of every 15 minutes till 6 am for people attending the Republic Day Parade on January 26. DMRC provides this facility keeping in mind the regular passengers and big events.
17 new interchanges will be added on this line
The Magenta Line of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will soon become the most modern corridor of Delhi-NCR. Officials said on Wednesday that this line will include 65 stations, 21 interchanges and 89 kilometers of driverless travel. DMRC officials said this extension will significantly improve cross-city connectivity and provide more convenience and speed to passengers’ travel. Under this, the Indraprastha-Indralok corridor will now become part of the Magenta Line. This line is being expanded under Delhi Metro Phase IV and V(A).
Total 21 interchanges on Magenta Line
Delhi Metro’s Magenta Line will soon become a completely driverless corridor. This line will extend from Botanical Garden to Indralok and will have a total of 21 interchange stations after the completion of the extension works of Phase IV and V(A). Currently there are four interchange stations on the Magenta Line. Kalkaji Temple, Botanical Garden, Janakpuri West, Hauz Khas Officials said that this extension will provide better connectivity and convenience to the passengers and will make the Delhi Metro network more modern and efficient.
