What will be the benefit to India?
After signing the agreement, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, ‘India has become a part of the Pax Silica. This will greatly benefit India’s electronics and semiconductor industry. Ten plants are already established in India and are in the process of being established, and very soon, the first semiconductor plant will begin commercial production. A complete ecosystem is emerging in India. Pax Silica will be crucial for this, and the youth of India will benefit from it,”
This initiative will strengthen the electronics and semiconductor industry in India. 10 plants have already been set up in the country and the first semiconductor plant will soon start commercial production. This will open new employment opportunities for the youth.
There will be less dependence on China
Currently, India is dependent on China for 93% of its rare earth imports. Through Pax Silica, India will be able to reduce this dependence and will also be protected from disruptions in the supply chain. The alliance also aims to prevent supply disruptions that were seen during the geopolitical crisis in the automobile industry.

India will become stronger with global cooperation
US Ambassador Sergio Gore described India’s participation as “strategic and essential” Told and said that it will play an important role in shaping the economic and technological system of the 21st century.
