By partially amending the previously issued revised public notice for major revision of electoral rolls of three-tier Panchayats, time table has been fixed – District Magistrate/District Election Officer (Pt.)

District Magistrate/District Election Officer (Pt.), Sonbhadra has informed that as per the revised notification of the State Election Commission Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, a time table has been set by partially modifying the earlier issued revised public notice for the major revision of electoral rolls of the three-tier Panchayats of Sonbhadra district.

He informed that after disposal of claims/objections, the period for preparing handwritten manuscripts, submitting them to the office of the Assistant Electoral Registration Officer and taking action for verification/disposal of possible duplicate voters will be from January 07, 2026 to March 16, 2026. After disposal of claims and objections, preparation of computerization of supplementary lists and inclusion of them in the original list and determination of polling centres/venues as required will be done from February 21, 2026 to March 16, 2026.

After computerization of voter lists, the date of numbering of polling stations/places, mapping of wards of polling places, voter numbering, allotment, downloading of voter list, making photo copies etc. is from March 17, 2026 to April 13, 2026. The final publication of electoral rolls for the general public has been scheduled on April 15, 2026.

Electoral Registration Officers and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers will give wide publicity to the electoral roll revision program of the three-tier Panchayats under their jurisdiction in major local newspapers and these programs will also be displayed on the notice boards of all the concerned offices for public information. On the public holidays falling during the major revision of electoral rolls, the concerned offices will remain open and the proceedings will be completed as per the scheduled schedule.

He has directed that the work of comprehensive revision of electoral rolls of three-tier Panchayats will be completed as per the prescribed time table. The previously issued revised public release information dated January 07, 2026 should be considered as amended.
