Big step by UP government, funds released for Link Expressway
News Desk. The UP government has decided to construct a link expressway connecting Yamuna Expressway and Ganga Expressway. Rs 1204 crore has been sanctioned for this. This decision will help in strengthening the transport and logistics connectivity of the state.
UPEDA’s responsibility and construction plan
Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) will construct this link expressway. This expressway will start from Siyana area of Bulandshahr and will reach Sector-21, Film City near Yamuna Expressway. The total length is 74.3 km, of which 20 km is located in the Yida area and out of this, 9 km will be elevated.
Let us tell you that a service road will also be constructed for the convenience of the local people. Additionally, the construction of the project will ensure easy and fast connectivity between Noida Airport, Ganga Expressway and Yamuna Expressway.
land purchase details
After purchasing the land for the link expressway, it will be handed over to UPEIDA. Land from a total of 56 villages will be used for the construction of the entire Ganga Link Expressway. 8 villages are located in Gautam Buddha Nagar and 48 villages are located in Bulandshahr district. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 4000 crore.
Expansion in connectivity in the state
With the completion of this link expressway, a direct route will be created between Ganga Expressway and Yamuna Expressway running from Meerut to Prayagraj. After the construction of Noida International Airport, the pressure of cargo and passenger vehicles is likely to increase in this area. The link expressway will make travel easier and faster for these vehicles.
