But on the other hand, the company claimed that this amount was given as a loan, which was required to be returned within the stipulated time.

The film did not perform as expected at the box office. Rajpal Yadav suffered huge financial loss due to this. Due to loss he could not return the money on time. According to the company, the original amount of Rs 5 crore increased to around Rs 9 crore with interest and other charges. The matter reached the court and the legal process began.
