Mastermind of Rs 250 crore GST scam arrested from Dhanbad, UP Police takes action
Dhanbad: Shyam Sundar Paswan, resident of Medha village of Maithon OP area, was arrested late Thursday night by Uttar Pradesh Police with the help of Maithon Police. He is accused of GST evasion of more than Rs 250 crore in UP, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh.
Mumbai Police arrested accused Imtiaz from Dhanbad, used to demand extortion in the name of Lawrence gang.
UP Police took him away with them. Villagers told that Shyamsundar lived in a luxurious building in front of Medha Panchayat building. He had also purchased luxury vehicles and land worth crores in many places for his use. Meanwhile, on January 27, UP Police had arrested eight youths on charges of GST evasion in Bengalpara and Bhaljuriya. All the youth were daily wage labourers.
Late night firing in Wasseypur, Dhanbad, Faheem Khan’s son Iqbal’s driver Babli was shot by criminals.
According to UP Police, on the basis of the documents of these youth, vicious criminals had committed GST evasion in UP, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh by creating fake cell companies. The police took all eight youths into custody and took them to UP. During the investigation there, everyone was found innocent. A case of misuse of his documents by Shyam Sundar, a resident of Medha village of Maithon, by luring him with a little money, had come to light. After that the police released all eight youths.
