Australia Women vs India Women, 3rd T20I : The Indian women’s team is currently on a tour of Australia and is playing a three-match T20I series against Australia. In the third match of the T20 series being played in Adelaide, India won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 176 runs for the loss of 6 wickets thanks to half-centuries from Smriti Mandhana and Jemima Rodriguez. Australia need to score 177 runs to win.

The Indian team did not start well. At 19 runs, the team got their first blow in the form of Shefali Verma. Shefali went back for 7 runs. Then, Smriti Mandhana and Jemima Rodrigues, who came in at number three, put on a 121-run partnership for the second wicket in 82 balls.

During this innings, Mandhana brought up her half-century. She was dismissed for 82 as she moved towards her century. Mandhana hit 8 fours and 3 sixes in her 55-ball innings. Jemima Rodrigues was reduced to 59 off 46 balls. 4 squares were added in this. Wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh scored a quick knock of 18 runs off 7 balls. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur remained unbeaten on 2 runs. Indian team scored 176 runs for 6 wickets. Annabelle Sutherland took 2 wickets for Australia, while Kim Garth and Sophie Moelix picked up 1 wicket each.

History by Ellis Perry

This match is special for Australian legend Ellis Perry. This is Ellyse Perry’s 350th match, becoming the first player to play 350 matches for the Australian women’s team. She also became the third woman cricketer in the world to achieve this feat. Only two players have accomplished the feat before Perry. Indian women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur and New Zealand’s Suzy Bates have done this feat. After Ellis Perry, current ODI and Test captain Alyssa Healy has played the most matches for Australia. Healy has played a total of 295 matches
