Teenager could not tolerate the rift in relationship: Reshma hanged herself in Delhi, body found hanging after sister broke the door
A 15-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging herself on Friday evening after a fight with a friend in Vasant Kunj (South) of Delhi’s south-western district. Police have not found any suicide note from the spot. The police have kept the body in the hospital for post-mortem. Vasant Kunj, South Police has started investigation. Initial investigation revealed that the girl had a fight with her male friend. For this reason he took a step like suicide. Police is investigating from all angles.
Reshma used to work as a babysitter
According to South-Western District Police officials, the police had received a PCR call on February 20 about the hanging of a minor girl. On receiving the call, emergency officer along with staff reached the spot at Jai Hind Camp, Bengali Basti, Masoodpur. Police found 15 year old Reshma, daughter of Ejajul, lying on the bed inside the house. Her sister Rajeena gave statement that the deceased Saraswati used to work as a babysitter in the apartment. His parents had gone to work on Friday. At around 9.30 in the morning, Rajeena got a call that Reshma had not reached her work place.

When she went to see the house, she found the door locked from inside. When there was no response despite repeated knocks, he broke the door. Saw that Reshma was hanging from the fan with the help of her dupatta. He opened it and laid it on the bed and made noise. After this the neighbors gathered and PCR was called on 112. The crime team was called to the spot and investigation was conducted. Photographs were taken and the scene was investigated. The parents of the deceased have not alleged any foul play.
