Venom gets animated movie adaptation in development?

The studio responsible for Marvel’s anti-hero films is now bringing Venom to life in its first animated movie, as per The Hollywood Reporter.

Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein, the creative minds behind the hit horror Final Destination: Bloodlines, are set to direct the production.

The animated movie will likely see Amy Pascal, Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach, producers behind the prior ‘Venom’ films, attached as producers, but specifics are still unclear as the project is still in its early stages.

Tom Hardy is reportedly involved in the new project, but whether he will return to voice Venom after playing Eddie Brock in the live action films or take on a producing role remains to be unclear.

The project currently has no writer, though Sony Pictures Animation is actively developing ideas for scripts and concepts.

For the unversed, Tom, 48, starred in Venom, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, andVenom: The Last Dance.
