Big news for ‘teachers’ in Bihar: Preparations to return home

Patna. New information has come to light regarding homecoming and inter-district transfer for thousands of teachers selected under TRE-3 in Bihar. Giving a big hint in this regard in the Assembly, Education Minister Sunil Kumar said that now the regular process of inter-district and mutual transfer will start only after April 2026.

This policy of the government is a news of relief for the teachers of TRE-3. This has increased the hope that the ‘exile’ that has been going on for years will end and teachers are likely to get relief both at the family and professional level.

Difficulties due to ‘exile’

Many teachers selected under TRE-3, including women and disabled teachers, are posted 100 to 500 kilometers away from their home district. The minister admitted that due to this situation he is facing difficulties at family, social and practical levels.

Arrangements will be made as per rules

The Education Minister clarified that before returning home, detailed rules related to transfer and posting will be prepared. The target is to implement these rules by April 2026, and the entire further process will be conducted on this basis.

Roads will open after April 2026

After finalizing the departmental process by April 2026, the regular process of inter-district transfer will start. With this, teachers posted in remote districts for a long time will get the opportunity of posting in their home district or nearby district.
