Does your bike repeatedly stop on the way? Adopt these 5 habits, there will be no mid-road breakdown

When to Change Engine Oil: If you have a bike or scooter and it often breaks down suddenly on the way, it adds to both the hassle and expense especially when the place is deserted. But the good news is that by adopting some easy and regular habits, you can keep your two-wheeler fit and reliable for a long time. Let us know those important tips which are useful for every lower middle class family.

1. There is no carelessness in service at all

It is most important to get service done from time to time. With regular service, minor defects are caught in time and major problems are avoided. Always try to get the vehicle checked at an authorized service center only.

Changing engine oil is the most important part of service. This helps the engine run smoothly and protects the parts from wear. Get it changed immediately every 1500-2000 kilometers or when the oil looks black. Also keep checking the setting and lubrication of the chain.

2. Regular cleaning of air filter

The air filter is the breath of the engine. If it becomes dirty, the engine performance decreases and petrol starts getting wasted. Therefore, it is very important to get it cleaned from time to time or replaced if necessary. A clean air filter also improves mileage.

3. Don’t forget to check the spark plugs

If the bike has trouble starting or stalls frequently, the spark plug may be to blame. Check its condition every 1500-2000 kilometers. If it looks burnt or damaged, get it replaced immediately. This will start the engine smoothly and power will also be maintained.

4. Keep an eye on battery health

Self start may respond as soon as the battery becomes weak. Check from time to time to see if there is any leakage or corrosion in the battery. If there is any problem in starting, do not delay and consult a mechanic immediately.

Check tire air pressure at least once a week. Low or high pressure affects both the performance and mileage of the vehicle. Keep wheel balancing done from time to time. If the tires are excessively worn or cracked, get them replaced immediately. By adopting small precautions, you can avoid big expenses and problems midway. Regular maintenance is the key to a safe and comfortable ride.
