Noida. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday laid the foundation stone of North India’s first semiconductor unit in Greater Noida, adjacent to Delhi. On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and others were present. The program was started by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath by lighting the lamp. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that today India is working very fast on the goal of development and I have also said from the Red Fort that India does not have time to stop. From the beginning of the year 2026, India has increased its pace. Lakhs of youth of the country joined the Vikas Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue on January 12. He said, now this week is also proving to be historic for India. In the Global AI Impact Summit, heads of state of many countries of the world and giants of the technology world were all gathered in Delhi. In this summit, the world saw India’s AI potential, understood and appreciated the vision. This summit ended yesterday itself and now here we are becoming a part of such a big event related to India’s semiconductor ecosystem.
PM said that India has to be self-reliant in chip manufacturing… For this, semiconductor ecosystem has to be built in India. A democratic country like India… is a reliable partner of the world. India’s increasing participation in any value chain will only increase the resilience of that value chain. Today the world is looking at India as the center of tech future. A big reason for this is India’s talent. In the last 11 years, India has shown time and again that we can achieve whatever we set our mind to. A few years ago, when the country took the pledge of Make in India, some people had expressed doubts and apprehensions.
But today Make in India has emerged as a strong brand.
At the same time, in the foundation stone laying program of the semiconductor unit, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted India’s progress. He said that India is moving forward as a major economic superpower in the world and setting new paradigms. The Chief Minister heartily congratulated the Prime Minister on this occasion and welcomed him on behalf of the citizens of Uttar Pradesh.
Expressing his gratitude to Prime Minister Modi, CM Yogi Adityanath said that the Prime Minister has established the country as a new center of emerging technology. The Chief Minister also mentioned the Impact Summit being held at Bharat Mandapam for the last four days. He said that more than 10 lakh people directly participated in this summit.
