Phone Pe Fingerprint Payments: UPI payment will be done through PhonePe without entering PIN, know the process to activate…
Phone Pe Fingerprint Payments: PhonePe, a big digital payment company, has launched a special feature for its users. Now, there is no need to enter 4 or 6 digit PIN again and again to perform UPI transactions. Users will be able to make payments directly using their smartphone’s biometric authentication, such as fingerprint or Face ID.
PhonePe said that the purpose of this feature is to make payments more secure and easier. Currently, this feature is available for Android users, and will soon be rolled out for iPhone (iOS) users as well.
Get rid of ‘shoulder surfing’, stay safe even in the crowd
According to PhonePe, there is often a risk of ‘shoulder surfing’ (seeing someone’s PIN from behind) while making payments in crowded places. Biometric authentication will completely eliminate this threat. Additionally, users often forget or mistype their UPI PIN, causing transactions to fail. Limit up to ₹5,000, for more than that PIN will be required.
The company has set a limit for this ‘one-touch’ payment method. Users will be able to transact up to ₹5,000 through biometrics. For security reasons, the system will still ask for UPI PIN if the payment amount is more than ₹5,000.
Step-by-Step Process: How to Enable Biometric Payments
