Congress fully prepared for election strategy in Assam! Priyanka Gandhi held one to one meeting – Gaurav Gogoi told the entire plan
Amidst the preparations for the Assam Assembly elections, Congress has intensified its efforts to sharpen its strategy. In this sequence, senior Congress leaders in 10 districts of New Delhi Priyanka Gandhi He held a one-to-one meeting with the chairpersons of the four major committees related to the Assam elections. Apart from this, Assam Pradesh Congress President and MP Gaurav Gogoi was also present in this important meeting.
The meeting is being considered very important in terms of the upcoming election strategy. According to sources, organizational strength, possible alliance, seat sharing and outline of the campaign were discussed in detail. Priyanka Gandhi met separately with the chairmen of the four committees formed for the Assam elections. These included-

- Coordination Committee Chairman Debabrata Saikia
In the meeting, the ground report of the state organization, selection of potential candidates and campaign strategy were discussed in detail.
Has Congress clarified its stand on seat sharing formula?
Questions are also being raised regarding seat sharing with potential allies in Assam, especially Raijor Dal. Party chief Akhil Gogoi has called the demand for 15 seats a condition of the alliance. He even challenged that Congress should win 60 out of 100 seats.
Gaurav Gogoi gave a clear message on this. He said, ‘There is no such thing that the number should be the same or the same. I believe that the policy of adjustment and sacrifice is more important. How do we win the elections, this should be the biggest agenda and for this everyone will have to make sacrifices. Congress has already sacrificed a lot, many people are saying that we have sacrificed more than was necessary. Therefore, I urge all (potential allies) to seal the final agreement with a spirit of adjustment and sacrifice. Gogoi indicated that the foundation of the alliance would not be numbers, but the principle of ‘adjustment and sacrifice’.
Has Congress rejected the alliance proposal?
At present, Congress has not directly announced to accept or reject any seat number. But the stance of the party leadership is clear. The final agreement will be reached only keeping the winning strategy in mind. Congress says that all potential allies will have to show flexibility.

After the meeting it was also indicated that party switching during election time is not unusual. A senior leader said that a leader has joined BJP, but it is a part of electoral politics. It was also claimed that some BJP leaders are in touch with Congress and when the time comes, they will be included in the party.

Gaurav Gogoi said that ‘Priyanka Gandhi had just gone on a two-day Assam tour. From 10 am to 3:30 pm the next day, she met workers, 35 district presidents and MLAs.
