Interaction with Google, Nvidia, Open AI and other world-class companies to bring technological revolution in schools of Punjab
The Punjab government has taken a big step towards strengthening the education system of the state with the power of AI. A high-level delegation from the Department of School Education led by Education Minister Shri Harjot Singh Bains today attended the India AI Impact Expo 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Here he held in-depth discussions with global tech giants and key central government institutions to find AI-based revolutionary solutions for millions of school children in Punjab.
During the exhibition, the Education Minister interacted with companies like Google, Nvidia, Open AI, Intel, Deloitte and Dell. Also met the officials of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and the Ministry of Education and got a lot of information about the country’s AI policy, digital infrastructure and governance model, which can be implemented in the classrooms of Punjab.
Discussion with major technology companies
Education Minister Shri Harjot Singh Bains held detailed discussions with representatives of the world’s leading technology companies including Google, Deloitte, Intel, Open AI, Nvidia and Dell. In these discussions, there was a special focus on the adoption of AI technologies in the education system of Punjab, which included ways to make future education more creative and effective.
Meeting AI startups and experts
The delegation also had in-depth interactions with leading companies like Wadhwani AI, GNANI AI and Bodh AI. The discussions focused on AI-enabled school education applications, including personalized learning (PAL), foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN), AI-based assessment, multilingual learning tools, teacher support tools and time-based monitoring systems for governance and infrastructure.
Visit to Punjab Startup Pavilion
The Education Minister also visited the Punjab Startup Pavilion at the Expo. Here he met several sector-specific AI startups developed under the programs of the Punjab Government, which are working towards making Punjab a nationally strong hub in educational technology innovation.

Shri Harjot Singh Bains said that this visit will help in equipping the coming generations of Punjab with the resources for the future. Our ongoing discussions with global companies like Nvidia, Google and Open AI and our domestic startups have provided us with a clear future direction. We are now particularly focused on strengthening foundational literacy and numeracy through personalized customized learning and AI. By combining these technologies with a strong policy framework shared by MeitY and the Ministry of Education, we will create a model where technology will act as a meaningful tool for our teachers and a personal guide for every student of Punjab.
