Barabanki. In Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, the support price of wheat has been increased by Rs 160 to Rs 2585 per quintal. Farmers are expected to get better profits from this decision. Preparations for wheat procurement have also started and 84 purchasing centers have already been identified.
Procurement preparation and registration
This time it is expected that the purchasing centers will become active from March 15, whereas last year this process started from April 1. Registration of farmers has been started. Farmers who are already registered will only have to make amendments. The facility of online registration on the basis of Khasra-Khatauni and Aadhaar number is also available for new farmers.
Transparency in procurement process
District Marketing Officer Rajiv Kulshrestha said that eye scan will be done to identify the farmers. According to Khatauni, the crop will be weighed using the e-sap machine and the weight will be recognized only after identification.
Bonus and Fee Information
During procurement, a fee of Rs 20 will be charged for sifting and unloading, which will be added to the support price and paid to the farmers within 48 hours. This system will ensure timely payment and transparency to the farmers.
Renewal of old farmers
Farmers who were registered earlier will just have to make amendments by visiting the Jan Seva Kendra. As soon as you enter the Aadhaar number, the old data will appear and only the quantity of the crop sold will have to be updated.
