Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw called it a big sign of global support. Big countries like America, Britain, Canada, China, Denmark and Germany also agreed to this announcement.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s human-centric AI vision
Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said while talking to journalists, ‘The world has accepted the human-centric AI vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Democratizing artificial intelligence resources so that AI facilities, services and technologies can be accessible to everyone in society is universally accepted.” He said that this framework will ensure “welfare of all, and happiness of all” That is, it is based on the principle of welfare and happiness of all.
Along with development, social balance is also necessary
Vaishnav made it clear that the objective of AI should not be only economic progress. “Not only economic development, social harmony also has to be kept in mind. Security and trust are at the center, they have been brought to the core.” That is, security, trust and social balance will be kept at the center in the development of AI. The government’s focus is on creating a secure, reliable and robust AI ecosystem.
Promise of investment of more than 2.5 trillion dollars
Describing the summit as a “grand success”, the minister said investment commitments of more than $250 billion have been received in AI infrastructure, while about $20 billion will come in the form of venture capital and deep-tech investments. The participation of over five lakh people showed that both the country and the world have serious interest in India’s AI initiatives.
World’s biggest tech giants also arrived
Global tech leaders like Sundar Pichai, Sam Altman, Brad Smith and Dario Amodei participated in this summit. “More than half a million visitors attended the exhibition, learned a lot, and interacted with many experts from around the world. Almost every major AI player in the world participated in large numbers. Many startups got a chance to showcase their work. Overall, the quality of the discussion was very good.” Vaishnav said.
