At least 17 people died in the incident. Among them are many children and women. Not only that, many citizens are also buried under the rubble. However, Pakistan Army claims that the ‘targeted strike’ was carried out to destroy the militant camps active on the Afghan border. Pakistan’s Ministry of Information wrote in a statement, ‘Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and affiliated terrorist organizations of the Islamic State had built several militant camps in the region. They were using Afghan territory to carry out militancy. The Taliban government did not take any action against them. This operation was carried out after receiving information from secret sources.

The Taliban strongly condemned the attack. Taliban government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said, “Pakistan army has crossed the airspace in Nangarhar and Paktika provinces late on Saturday night.
