Health Desk. The problem of constipation is becoming common in Bihar and other states. Prolonged constipation can increase flatulence, gas and digestive problems. Experts say that to avoid constipation, it is important to pay special attention to diet and fluids.
1. Lukewarm water
Drinking two glasses of lukewarm water as soon as you wake up in the morning activates the digestive system and keeps the stool soft. Consuming enough fluids throughout the day increases the effect of fiber and reduces the problem of constipation.
2. Fiber rich diet
It is important to include whole grains, fruits and vegetables in the daily diet. Such as: apple (with peel), orange, broccoli, carrot and pulses. Fiber makes bowel movements easier by increasing the bulk of stool.
3. Triphala Powder
From Ayurvedic point of view, Triphala powder is very effective in constipation. Taking one spoon of Triphala with lukewarm water before sleeping at night improves digestion in the morning.
4. Isabgol Husk
If constipation is chronic, Isabgol husk proves helpful. Drinking one spoon of Isabgol mixed with lukewarm water or milk activates the digestive system and keeps the stool soft.
