RSS Meerut Event: Mohan Bhagwat said in Meerut, being a Hindu means uniting, beware of the forces that break the country.
News India Live, Digital Desk: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat addressed a huge volunteer gathering organized in Meerut on Sunday, 22 February 2026. In his address, he said many important things regarding Hindutva, nationalism and internal security of the country. Bhagwat clarified that the basic nature of Hindu society is to take everyone along, but in the present time there is a need to be aware of the forces that weaken the country from within.1. New definition of Hindutva: “One who unites is a Hindu.” Explaining the word ‘Hindu’, Mohan Bhagwat said that it is not the name of any worship system or sect. The formula of unity: He said, “Being a Hindu means connecting. The one who takes everyone along and creates a sense of unity in the society is a true Hindu.” Unity in Diversity: Bhagwat stressed that our culture has never considered anyone different, but has given priority to nation building by accepting diversity. 2. During his address, the Sarsanghchalak also highlighted the internal challenges of the country, warning to remain alert from the forces trying to break the country. Cautioning the volunteers and the society, he said: Conspiracy to spread confusion: There are some forces who are trying to divide the society in the name of caste, language and creed. Alert society: “The forces that break the country are active. They want to build walls between us. The Hindu society will have to get organized and counter such disruptive forces.”3. Special features of Meerut Samagam: Thousands of volunteers from Western Uttar Pradesh participated in this program of Meerut. Display of discipline: During the program, volunteers in full uniform demonstrated discipline and physical efficiency. Social Harmony: Bhagwat stressed on social harmony and said that there should be no place for untouchability and discrimination in Hindu society.4. Roadmap to the future: ‘Panch Parivartan’ Bhagwat reiterated the mantra of ‘Panch Parivartan’ as the centenary of the Sangh approaches: Swadeshi: Promoting local products and self-reliance. Kutumb Prabodhaan: Strengthening family values. Environment: Water conservation and plastic-free India. Civic duty: Fulfilling one’s responsibility towards the society. Harmony: Eliminating the feeling of discrimination.
