PM Kisan: 22nd installment may be released at the end of February, update these documents soon, otherwise you may get stuck Rs 2000-2000

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is an important scheme of the Central Government. Under this scheme, financial assistance of ₹ 6,000 per year is given to eligible farmer families. This amount is sent directly to the farmers’ bank accounts (through DBT) in 3 equal installments of ₹2,000 each at an interval of every 4 months.

Till now 21 installments of the scheme have been released and now more than 9 crore farmers of the country are eagerly waiting for the 22nd installment. There is a possibility that before Holi, between 24th and 28th February, the Modi government at the Center may send Rs 2000-2000 to the accounts of the farmers. However, no announcement has been made yet by the Agriculture Ministry or the Central Government regarding the final date of the next installment. The last 21st installment was released on 19 November 2025.

What does the rule of PM Kisan Yojana say?

As per the rules of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the first installment is released between April to July, the second installment between August to November and the third installment between December to March. If we look at it in terms of 4 months, the time for the 22nd installment is ending in February 2026.
If we look at the timing of installments in previous years, most of the payments have been made between February and March. The 19th installment was released on 24 February 2025 and the 16th installment was released on 28 February 2024. However, the date of installment will be considered fixed only after the official notification is issued by the Central Government. Farmers can check their eligibility through the Know Your Status (KYS) option on the PM Kisan website or mobile app, or with the help of Kisan eMitra chatbot.

Next installment will not be received without these documents

e-KYC: The Central Government has made it mandatory for all beneficiaries to get e-KYC done. If your KYC is not updated, your installment may stop. You can get it done through OTP by visiting PM Kisan Portal (pmkisan.gov.in) or by visiting the nearest CSC centre. You can also download PM-Kisan App and Aadhaar Face RD App from Google Play Store.
Verification of land records (Land Seeding): It is necessary to link your land records with bank account and Aadhaar. If the status is ‘No’ then the money will not come into the account.
Aadhaar and Bank Account Link: The bank account should be linked to Aadhaar (Aadhaar Seeding) and DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) should be enabled.
Farmer Registry: If necessary in the state, then definitely get Farmer ID made.
Farmer ID: In some states (like UP, Rajasthan, MP) ‘Kisan ID’ is being made mandatory for new registrations, although the main focus remains on e-KYC for old beneficiaries.

PM Kisan Yojana: How to do eKYC

Step 1: First of all go to the official website of PM Kisan.
Step 2: After this select ‘Farmers Corner’.
Step 3: After this click on e-KYC option.
Step 4: Now enter your Aadhaar number and select Get OTP option.
Step 5: Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number and submit.
Step 6: After completion of the process, you will get the message that e-KYC is successful.

How to check your name in the list

Step 1: First of all go to the official website of PM Kisan Yojana pmkisan.gov.in
Step 2: After this, when you scroll down, you will get the Farmers Corner option. Tap on the Beneficiary Status option from the box visible in it.
Step 3: Now enter PM Kisan account number or registered mobile number.
Step 4: If your phone number is not already registered then register it. Enter the OTP received on your phone
Step 5: After this click on Get Data. Now you will see the status of your account on the screen.
