Bihar CM Nitish Kumar met Vaibhav Suryavanshi, received a check of ₹ 50 lakh
Bihar’s 14-year-old cricket star Vaibhav Suryavanshi on Sunday brought glory to his state by receiving a check of ₹50 lakh from Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. This honor ceremony was held at Chief Minister Bhawan, Patna, in which Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and Sports Minister Shreyasi Singh and other senior leaders were present.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi was given this honor for his excellent performance in the Under‑19 World Cup 2026. In the final match against England, he played a stormy inning of 175 runs in just 80 balls, which included 15 fours and 15 sixes, helping India win the World Cup for a record sixth time.
In the same tournament, Vaibhav received the Player of the Match as well as Player of the Tournament award, he scored 439 runs in seven matches and hit the most sixes. His explosive batting played an important role in the victory of the Indian team.
Vaibhav has already created history by performing record in IPL. He is the youngest debutant in IPL and has become the youngest Indian to score the fastest IPL century against Gujarat Giants. In this year’s IPL season 2026, he will be seen playing for Rajasthan Royals and the eyes of young cricket fans will be on him.
This achievement of Vaibhav Suryavanshi is not only a matter of pride for Bihar, but also gives shine to Indian cricket as a new young talent.
