After brilliant innings by David Miller (63), Dewald Brewis (45) and Tristan Stubbs (44 not out), thanks to the excellent performance of Marco Janson (four wickets) and Keshav Maharaj (three wickets), South Africa defeated India by 76 runs in the Super Eight match of the T-20 World Cup on Sunday. Chasing the target of 179 runs, the Indian team had a bad start and lost five wickets till the score of 51 runs.
Ishan Kishan (zero), Tilak Verma (one), Abhishek Sharma (15), Washington Sundar (11) and Suryakumar Yadav were out after scoring 18 runs. After this Shivam Dubey and Hardik Pandya tried to handle the innings. Keshav Maharaj broke this partnership by dismissing Hardik Pandya (18) in the 15th over. In the same over, he put India on the back foot by dismissing Rinku Singh (0) and Arshdeep Singh (1).
