Trump imposed tariffs on more than 100 countries, how happy are Americans with this strategy of the US President?
America’s President Donald Trump now seems to be surrounded by decisions among his own citizens. A recent survey has revealed that American citizens are unhappy with Trump’s decisions. They are angry about Trump’s leadership and the way he is running the country. These main issues include employment, rising prices of products in the market, jobs and relations with other countries.
In America, this survey has been done jointly by ABC News, Washington Post and Ipsos Poll. However, this survey was conducted immediately before the Supreme Court’s decision on tariffs.
It has come to light that two out of three Americans are angry with Trump’s methods of dealing with inflation. Apart from this, 6 out of 10 people seemed angry over the decision being taken regarding tariff on imported goods. Apart from this, 58% were unhappy with the way the immigration issue was being handled. Also 57% say that economic issues can be dealt with in a better way.
However, confusion can be seen among the Democrats in the US Congress regarding Trump. When asked who they trust most to solve big problems, people were split between 33% for Trump and 31% for the Democrats, as well as 31% for neither. Many Americans seem unhappy with both sides.
Trump has been given the lowest rating by Democrats and Independents. Most of these issues have been disliked. Overall Trump’s dislike rating is around 60%. This is more in his second term. People believe that the situation has worsened after Trump took office. Only 3 out of 10 are seen in his support. At the same time, 22 percent people have described themselves as financially better off. At the same time, most say that the situation is the same, or worse than before. This poll was conducted among more than 2500 adults in America. In this, the public seems divided on Trump’s decisions.
