Kiriakou said that a friend of his, who is himself a former CIA officer and has contacts with officials in the White House, indicated that the decision could be taken on Monday 23 February or Tuesday 24 February.
Kiriakou also said President Donald Trump has given Iran 10 days to accept a comprehensive resolution. The proposal includes halting the ballistic missile program, ending uranium enrichment and stopping support for groups like Hamas. However, this deadline does not guarantee averting a US military attack. He says that this is only a strategic move, and an attack can happen even after 10 days or two weeks.
