Operation Trashi-I: Two Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists killed in Kishtwar encounter, 2 AK-47 rifles and ammunition recovered

Jammu. Two terrorists belonging to terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed were killed in an encounter with security forces in a remote area of ​​Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. The officers provided this information. Officials said two terrorists were killed by security forces during ‘Operation Trashi-I’ at Paserkut in Chatru area in Kishtwar and arms and ammunition including two AK-47 rifles were recovered.

It said, “Troops of CIF (Counter Intelligence Force) Delta, Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) resumed encounter with terrorists in difficult terrain at around 11 am today.” The Army said the troops killed two terrorists.

It said, “The search is still on – those who try to disturb the peace will find no shelter anywhere.” Citing preliminary information, officials said that both the killed terrorists are Pakistani citizens and members of the banned organization Jaish-e-Mohammed. He said that the terrorists hiding inside a mud house in the hilly area started firing indiscriminately at the approaching soldiers, after which a fierce encounter started.

Last month, about six encounters took place between terrorists and security forces in Chatru forest area, in which one soldier was martyred and one terrorist was killed. With the killing of two terrorists on Sunday, a total of six Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists have been killed by security forces in separate encounters in the Jammu region this year. Earlier, two terrorists were killed in Udhampur and one in Kathua district.
