Tractor trolley overturned due to collision with truck, woman died on the spot in the accident

Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki. A major road accident took place on Sunday on National Highway 930 passing through Manpur block under the district. The tractor trolley overturned due to the collision of the truck. A woman traveling in the tractor trolley also died on the spot. After the incident, the driver fled from the spot along with the truck.

Confirming the incident, Manpur police station in-charge Brijesh Sinha said that about two dozen villagers from village Khursekhurd of Madanwada police station area under Manpur block were going to participate in the Chhatthi program organized in village Nedgaon in a tractor. Women, men and children were riding on the tractor. Meanwhile, a speeding truck hit a tractor-trolley on National Highway 930. After the collision, the truck driver fled from the spot along with the vehicle, while the tractor-trolley overturned on the road itself.

In the incident, 11 people including a woman, man and child riding a tractor trolley were injured. With the help of passers-by and villagers, the injured were removed from the road and taken to the roadside field. Meanwhile, after receiving information about the incident, police personnel from Manpur police station also reached the spot. The injured were brought to Manpur Community Health Centre. Where the treatment of the injured is going on.

However, a 26-year-old woman, Doorpat Bai Usare, died during treatment at Manpur Hospital. Three women Nohri Bai, Bisantin Bai and Brij Bai and a youth Sukal Singh are undergoing treatment in Manpur Hospital. The other injured men, women and children were relieved after first aid as their injuries were not serious.

It is being told that the four seriously injured people have been referred to Rajnandgaon Medical College for better treatment, efforts are on to send them to the medical college. Manpur police is engaged in action. CCTV footage of the concerned area is going to be searched to find the absconding truck.
