‘Boyfriend poured sanitizer on private parts of live-in partner and set her on fire’, medical examination confirms rape

Gurugram. In Sector-69 of Gurugram, Haryana, a young man brutally assaulted his girlfriend in a PG and took her hostage. The girl told this to her mother, after which the girl’s mother complained to the Gurugram Police. On receiving the complaint, the police team reached the spot and freed the injured girl from the clutches of the accused and admitted her to the hospital. Gurugram Police has arrested the accused and started investigation in the case.

The injured girl is undergoing treatment at Delhi AIIMS. The girl, originally from Tripura, was living in a consensual relationship with Shivam from Delhi in a PG located in Sector-69, Gurugram. There were talks going on in the families of both the accused Shivam, a resident of Delhi, and the victim regarding their marriage. On Thursday, an altercation broke out over accused Shivam having doubts about the character of the student. The argument escalated into a fight. The accused beat the student brutally. Due to this he suffered injuries on his mouth, hands and legs. The mother of the victim student had given a complaint to the Badshahpur police station in the matter.

‘Put sanitizer on live-in partner and set private parts on fire’

It is alleged that Shivam poured sanitizer on his 19-year-old live-in partner and set her private parts on fire and during this also made a video of her. In the FIR registered on the basis of the girl’s statement, it has been said that he was having a physical relationship with her on the pretext of marriage, beating her and assaulting her. Sections 115, 118(1), 118(2), 127(2), 69 and 351(2) of BNS have been imposed in the FIR.

Victim’s lawyer, Reena Rai, says that she (Victim) was being tortured by her partner. I spoke to his parents and they told me that he set fire to her (victim’s) private parts with hand sanitizer.

‘Medical examination confirms rape’

He burnt her entire body and did dirty things inside the washroom and did not even let her go out. Somehow, he called his parents. Her father also confirmed that the medical examination had confirmed rape, but the section filed at the Badshahpur police station was only for minor injuries. This is also a case of attempt to murder, and no rape charges have been filed. Whatever confirmation was given, it was given by his father. His face was completely swollen from the beating, and his hair was completely cut off.

The victim’s lawyer Reena Rai met the victim’s mother at Safdarjung Hospital, where the victim is undergoing treatment. According to the police, the condition of the victim is stable and the accused, 19-year-old Shivam, has been arrested. On the basis of written complaint, police have imposed serious sections including rape.

On the assault on a Tripura girl in Gurugram, Gurugram Police PRO Sandeep Kumar said that in this case the victim’s family told the Gurugram Police that the girl was being beaten by one of his friends. Police rescued the girl and admitted her to the hospital. He is still undergoing treatment. His condition is still stable, taking immediate action the accused, a 19-year-old boy named Shivam from Narela, Delhi, was arrested. Based on the written complaint, the police have registered a case under rape and other serious sections. The girl is still undergoing treatment. The accused has been arrested and taken into police custody. After police remand, he was produced in the court and sent to jail on the court’s orders.

‘Both knew each other since September 2025’

Whatever other sections are made as per the opinion of the doctors, the police will also implement them in this case. The trial will be completed. As soon as possible, and the police will demand that the accused be given the harshest possible punishment.

During police interrogation of the accused, he confessed to the attack. He brutally attacked the victim. Sections have been imposed on the basis of injuries mentioned in the initial medical report. As I said, doctors give their opinion, which is a legal responsibility. After that opinion, other sections will also be imposed. ACP Badshahpur Yashwant said that the accused Shivam has been produced in the court and sent to jail in judicial custody. In the case, the police is preparing a report based on the evidence so that the challan can be presented in the court.
