A bus that came to Rajgir on an educational tour from Garua Pursanda Middle School under Alsi block of Lakhisarai district suddenly caught fire. There were about 50 students and teachers in the bus. Major fire in the bus: The incident took place near Gate No. 2 of Ordnance Factory Nalanda on Rajgir-Giriyak road. Seeing the situation becoming serious, driver Hiralal immediately stopped the bus on the roadside and took out all the students safely. The fire was spreading rapidly, but timely action prevented major damage.

Local people and factory operator saved the students: People nearby reached the spot and immediately informed the fire department. Rahul Kumar, operator of the nearby surf factory, helped by bringing two ABC fire extinguishers and a bag of dolomite powder from his factory. The fire was brought under control with the help of factory workers and local people. Rahul Kumar said that the fire could be stopped from spreading with the help of dolomite powder and extinguishers.
