New pricing and BaaS plans changed the situation
The biggest change has been seen in the new price of the car. The ex-showroom price of the Tata Punch EV facelift starts at Rs 9.69 lakh and goes up to Rs 12.59 lakh. However, if customers opt for the BaaS (Battery Subscription) plan, the starting price is just Rs 6.49 lakh. Under a BaaS plan, customers don’t have to pay the entire cost of the battery all together; Batteries are paid based on how many kilometers they drive. This makes buying a vehicle easier and lowers initial costs. This option was not available earlier, so this is considered a major change.
Bigger battery and more range
Instead of the earlier 25 kWh and 35 kWh batteries, the new Tata Punch EV now comes with larger batteries of 30 kWh and 40 kWh capacity. Earlier this car had a range of 265 km and 365 km; It has now increased to approximately 375 km and 468 km. This means that both the variants are getting more range of around 100 km, which will be beneficial for daily use as well as long journeys.
