‘Thanks to South Africa, we were able to know what India has to do next…’ Sanjay Manjrekar gave these three advices to Team India

IND vs SA Match : The biggest weakness of the Indian team in the group match of T20 World Cup 2026 has come to the fore after the defeat against South Africa. After which head coach Gautam Gambhir’s understudy Ryan Ten Doeschate and Sitanshu Kotak have indicated that the team management may drop at least one of the three out-of-form batsmen. At the same time, former Indian player Sanjay Manjrekar believes that because of South Africa we were able to know what India has to do next.

Famous commentator and former Indian batsman Sanjay Manjrekar has pointed out that South Africa has exposed the weak links of the Indian team. He wrote in the X Post, “Thanks to SA, we now know what Ind needs to do next. 1) Bring a batsman with soft skills against spin higher up the batting order… 2) Get a ‘throw down’ guy to bowl millions of slower balls at Ind batsmen… 3) Kuldeep will have to play to get another wicket-taking option.”

Former all-rounder Irfan Pathan also reacted to the shameful defeat of 76 runs against South Africa. He wrote in

Really disappointing performance from Team India today. The batting struggles were exposed by South African bowlers, but honestly, this has been a recurring issue throughout the World Cup.

Former batsman Mohammad Kaif wrote, “South Africa showed today that they have a high class overall bowling attack, there is no bowler on whom the opposition team can put pressure. The same cannot be said about India, they have at least two weak links. Two bowlers who can be easily exploited by the batsmen.”
