FIR registered under POCSO Act against Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda and his disciple

Bureau Prayagraj. ADJ Rape and POCSO Special Court has given a big order in the case of allegations of sexual exploitation against Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati of Jyotish Peeth in Prayagraj. The court has directed Jhunsi police station to register an FIR against Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati and his disciple Swami Mukundanand Giri.

Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati’s troubles may increase. Ashutosh Brahmachari, associated with Shakumbhari Peethadhishwar and Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Mukti Nirman Trust, had filed an application under Section 173 (4) on January 28, demanding registration of an FIR. They allege that sexual exploitation of minor children takes place in the ashram of Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati. He has also claimed to have submitted a CD in this regard to the court.

On February 13, the statements of both the minors making allegations in the case were recorded in the court with videography. The court also took the police report into cognizance and reserved the decision after the completion of the hearing. Now the court has issued the order to register the FIR.
