A heart-wrenching incident has shaken the city in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. A 16-year-old Class 10 student was brutally attacked with a knife and knife by two minors at a snooker club in Ganesh Chowk, Tila Jamalpura. 27 attacks were made in just 30 seconds.
There is anger in the entire city after the CCTV footage of this sensational attack surfaced. In the video, the accused are seen allegedly entering the club in a filmy style and suddenly attacking. Police have registered the case and started investigation.
When and where did the incident occur?
According to the police, the incident took place on the night of 15 February in a snooker club located in Ganesh Chowk area of Bhopal. The injured student is a resident of Gautam Nagar police station area and used to come to the club daily to play pool game.
Who were the attackers and what was their relationship?
Investigation revealed that both the accused who attacked are also 16-year-old class 10 students. He was known to the victim and studied in the same coaching centre. It is being told that a few days ago there was a dispute between the two sides regarding the issue of respect in the pool game. Allegedly during that time the injured student had slapped the accused. Due to this rivalry, an attack was planned with the intention of taking revenge.
How was the attack carried out?
CCTV footage shows that both the accused enter the club illegally as per the plan. As soon as they come inside, they surround the student and start attacking him continuously with knives and sharp weapons. He was attacked 27 times in about half a minute. The people present there were also surprised by this sudden attack. After committing the crime the accused fled from the spot.
How is the condition of the victim?
The student suffered serious injuries in the attack. There were more than 10 deep cuts on one of his wrists, while two fingers on the other hand were cut. There are deep wounds on the shoulders and back also. Despite being seriously injured, the student somehow managed to escape from the attackers. He was immediately admitted to the hospital, where his treatment is ongoing.
Why are questions being raised on police action?
The police initially registered an FIR under sections of simple assault. After being taken into custody, both the minor accused were released after giving notice. According to Sub Inspector Manipal Singh Bhadauria, changes in the sections can be made after the medical report comes. However, despite the serious attack, questions are being raised over giving notice to the accused and releasing them.
What was the real reason behind the attack?
Preliminary investigation has revealed that there had already been tension between the two sides regarding supremacy during the pool game. The same dispute gave rise to a feeling of revenge, which took the form of this violent incident.
Increasing juvenile crime, serious signs
This incident points towards increasing aggression and violent tendencies among teenagers. The CCTV footage viral on social media has made the matter more sensitive. At present, the police is conducting a detailed investigation of the case and further legal action will be decided on the basis of the medical report.
