‘Rahul Gandhi will take membership of my gym’, said ‘Mohammad’ Deepak after the meeting
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi met Viral gym trainer Mohammad Deepak of Uttarakhand on Monday, 23 February. He shared pictures of this meeting on social media. He captioned the post, ‘This is Indianness, this is the shop of love. Meeting brother ‘Mohammed Deepak’ of Uttarakhand, such flame of unity and courage should burn in every Indian youth. After this meeting, Deepak told that Rahul Gandhi has also promised to come to Kotdwar and take membership of his gym.
After the meeting, gym trainer Mohammad Deepak told that Rahul Gandhi had called him to Delhi. There Rahul Gandhi also talked to his family and assured them that what he did was right. Therefore there is no need to have any kind of fear. Talking to the media, Deepak told that Rahul Gandhi told him that he will soon come to Kotdwar in Uttarakhand and will also take the membership of his gym. Deepak said that if this happens then it will be a matter of great happiness and pride for him. During this, Deepak was also made to meet senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi. Deepak reiterated that he had no connection with politics and had raised his voice only as a humanitarian.

Deepak Kumar’s statement
Talking to the media, Deepak Kumar said, ‘Rahul ji had called me and he has talked to my family. He has explained to me whatever has happened in this matter. He has talked to my family, my wife. I have been reassured that Deepak ji there is no problem. No, you have not done anything wrong, you have done good work and I will come to your Kotdwar, take your gym membership and meet you. He has given me solace. Have consoled that whatever has happened in this matter, there is no need to panic. You have not done anything wrong and whatever work you have done, it has been very good.

He further said, ‘I have also introduced him to Sonia ji. As far as politics is concerned, I have nothing to do with politics. He has called me. As a human being, I have come to meet him. Because I feel very good that Rahul ji has called me and that someone is understanding me. He understands my point that whatever voice I have raised, I have raised my voice for humanity. There is someone who understands me.
What was the Kotdwar dispute?
The entire incident took place on 26 January. That day some workers of Bajrang Dal reached outside a shop named ‘Baba School Dress’ in Patel Market of Kotdwar. He demanded 70-year-old shopkeeper Vakil Ahmed to remove the word ‘Baba’ from the name of the shop. He said that this word is associated with Hindu religious saints and should not be used.

The situation became tense during the demonstration. Meanwhile, 46-year-old gym trainer Deepak Kumar reached there and introduced himself as Mohammad Deepak and asked the protesters to leave from there. After this, again on January 31, a large number of people gathered outside the shop and Deepak’s gym. After this the road was blocked and slogans were also raised. On receiving information, police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. After this incident of Kotdwar, Mohammad Deepak came into limelight. Now after meeting Rahul Gandhi, Deepak is once again in the headlines.
