When Brock Lesnar shook the WWE Universe, 5 moments that changed the industry

WWE Most Dominant Superstar: Brock Lesnar is one of the most dominating superstars on the current roster. The Beast has made a name for himself by defeating his opponents and the interesting thing is that he has had this habit since his debut. Lesnar was taken very far in his first time in the company and then decided to try his hand in the NFL. After realizing that this was not his strong suit, he moved to MMA and became one of the top stars of the UFC.

When Lesnar returned, WWE resumed his initial push and once again, he outshone the stars. Over the years, The Beast has had some dominating moments and here are some of them.

1- Debut of the Beast

The first impression is always the best impression and Brock proved this with his debut. He debuted the night after WrestleMania in 2002, defeating AL Snow, Maven, and Spike Dudley like they were kindergartners.

Al Snow was given a Spine Buster straight into the trash, while Maven got a taste of some F5. Spike Dudley was the worst; After a brutal clothesline, he was given a triple power bomb.

This was probably the best way to introduce someone new and since Paul Heyman was with them, fans knew something big was waiting. After this he feuded against the Hardy Boys and he showed his dominance there too.

2- Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar

The angle between Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar was one of the reasons SmackDown was a better brand than Raw during Paul Heyman’s run as lead writer.

Heyman knew how to book shows, which is why his ECW run is still one of the most beloved promotions even today, despite being over for over a decade. The angle between Kurt and Lesnar ended with a WrestleMania match between the two in 2003.

Kurt was wrestling with a broken neck, and Lesnar almost broke his neck. Despite these difficulties, they heated up the atmosphere and Lesnar dominated by winning the match and the title. But this match will always be remembered for Lesnar’s bad star press move.

3- Rock and Brock Lesnar

2002 belonged to Brock Lesnar. Following his impressive debut and the King of the Ring tournament, Lesnar challenged The Rock at SummerSlam for the WWE Championship. Rock entered the match and the entire WWE Universe was with him. However, as the match progressed, fans started cheering for Lesnar, even though he was a more heelish character than The Rock. The two men had a match against each other which resulted in Lesnar’s victory.

This was his first WWE Championship win and the fact that it was against The Rock made things even better for Lesnar. This win came just a few months after his debut and was the beginning of a wonderful journey.

4- Hulk Hogan and Brock Lesnar

As a youngster, getting a victory over Hulk Hogan is no easy task. If WWE lets you do this in front of the WWE Universe, you know you’re special. Hogan tried his best to win over Lesnar, but nothing proved effective. Lesnar also kicked out with the famous leg drop that had killed many legends before. The Beast then hugged Hogan to win the match.

Immortal Hulk Hogan could not answer the referee’s call and Lesnar was declared the winner. After the match, Lesnar applied Hogan’s blood to his chest and stood upright like a warrior who had killed his victim.

5- Undertaker and Brock Lesnar

Paul Heyman bragged about this accomplishment for a whole year and is still keeping it hot. The reason for this is the great work done by Lesnar. The Undertaker’s streak was the biggest attraction for WrestleMania and if WWE was willing to let Lesnar end it, it shows his value.

And this was no ordinary victory, it was a tremendous victory. Lesnar defeated The Phenom in his own home and left as if nothing had happened. When the ref counted three, time literally stopped and it was clearly the greatest moment of this decade. Ending the streak was undoubtedly Lesnar’s greatest moment and will always be remembered as one of the Twenty One and One.
