When Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani reached Deoghar, a war of words broke out between the two MPs, which made headlines. There is such a tussle between Purnia MP Pappu Yadav and Bharatiya Janata Party MP Nishikant Dubey regarding this tour that both have started reminding each other of alleged ‘scandals’.
When Pappu Yadan taunted about welcoming Gautam Adani, Nishikant Dubey got angry. He even claimed that Pappu Yadav was pleading to join BJP. When Pappu Yadav called Nishikant Dubey an agent of industrialists, Nishikant Dubey said that the grapes are sour.

Why did the controversy start?
Gautam Adani had come to visit Baidyanath temple in Deoghar. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey had arrived to receive him. Pappu Yadav saw this as a political opportunity and started taunting. They surrounded both Adani and Nishikant Dubey.
Pappu Yadav wrote, ‘Today Adani came to the temple in Deoghar, then he went to MP, an agent of industrialists. Brokering industrialists and spreading false propaganda against Nehru Gandhi is the main business of that MP, it is clear from this meeting that Adani is the investor of false propaganda against Gandhiji, Nehruji, Rahulji, Indiraji etc.

What did Nishikant Dubey say on agent, brokerage, Adani?
Nishikant Dubey, MP, BJP:-
Recently, during the Parliament session, the same gentleman had come to meet me inside the Lok Sabha. His only request was to get me included in BJP. The grapes are sour. There must be some dignity and respect? Also tell people how much land our family owns in your constituency. Please also tell that my brother was an MLA from Purnia from Congress Party. Maintain the decorum of politics.
Why did Pappu Yadav get the stake?
Nishikant Dubey posted a post on February 22 at 11:49 pm. He wrote, ‘Welcomed Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani ji at his Deoghar residence.’ Pappu Yadav, on the pretext of this post, scolded Nishikant Dubey. Told them even to the broker. Now Nishikant Dubey has hit back on this same post.

Was Pappu Yadav going to BJP?
Pappu Yadav is an independent MP from Purnia. He admits that he is sometimes angry with the top leadership of the Congress. His wife Ranjita Ranjan is a Rajya Sabha MP from Congress. To join Congress, he merged his party, Jan Adhikar Party with Congress but he was never accepted by Congress.
Rahul Gandhi had avoided taking Pappu Yadav along in big rallies because of Tejashwi Yadav. Amidst the new murmur, Pappu Yadav and his supporters have completely rejected the claims of joining BJP. Nishikant Dubey has been accused of trying to tarnish the image.

Both the leaders have clashed before
During December 2025 to January 2026, there were heated clashes between the two even inside the Parliament several times. During Nishikant Dubey’s speech, attempts were made to interrupt him several times, on which Nishikant Dubey made very harsh remarks. He had repeatedly told Pappu Yadav to sit down. Pappu Yadav also surrounded him fiercely.
